The term ‘preschoolers’ is generally used to categorize children of a certain age, usually between 3 and 5. This is a very gratifying age to work with if you like working with children as, unlike babies, they are very responsive and can often communicate intellectually, but unlike adolescents they haven’t learned too many bad habits yet.
If you’re looking for a great way to captivate this age group as well as teach them, then the use of arts and crafts have been proven by experts to be very affective indeed. Not only are you extending their creativity, but you are teaching these preschoolers to interact well with other children and how to learn well in groups.
Using arts and crafts to teach preschoolers is also a very flexible way to inspire these young minds as many themes can be used like Hanukkah, Christmas and Easter, to name a few. In fact, preschool Easter crafts for kids is exceptionally successful as you can make Easter bunnies, Easter chicks, Easter egg decoration and many more.
These Easter ideas aren’t just limited to the classroom either, you can adopt preschool Easter crafts for kids so that you can try them out in the home too.
Trying Out Many Different Ideas
There are tons of Easter craft ideas that you can devise to help your young ones excel. But you have to pay attention to the items and tools that will be necessary for the Easter activity for preschoolers that you come up with. If you are having them cut items out then you will need to arrange adult supervision.
A great example of preschool Easter crafts for kids would be to have them make an Easter basket to put their Easter eggs in. The best way to set this up is to have strips of different colored paper that the kids can glue together. They would then cut out another strip of paper or card to make the handle. They of course would then personalize their Easter baskets with colors and glitter.
But What Does it all Mean
Preschool Easter crafts for kids has a number of benefits when incorporated in the classroom. It not only teaches them dexterity with arts and crafts and items in general, but also it make for a great lesson plan that is relative to the times.
By getting preschoolers actively involved with Easter, you can teach them all bout forgiveness, hope, sacrifice, all messages that are synonomous with Eeaster festivities. You can of course then use your preschool Easter crafts for kids ideas at home with your own children too outside of the classroom.

It has become some what of a tradition for a lot of families to have their photos taken at Easter time. Some just opt for their happy Easter photos to just be taken down their local shopping centre with a dressed up Easter bunny rabbit, while others go for a more formal family portrait setting.
Holidays such as Easter is a great excuse and mark in time to remember to get an updated photo of all the family, especially the kids, so you can compare them to last year to see how everybody has changed over the years. Kids at a young age will change a great deal from year to year so you can use happy Easter photos to capture a moment in time of your kids lives.
Holidays can be stressful enough without added worry, and Easter is no different. So when getting your Easter family photographs taken you want the occasion to be as stress free as possible and fun for the kids too.
Cameras can often pick up on a stressful vibe in the air, so you need to relax and enjoy the experience. You don’t want to look back in a years time and think “oh yeah, I remember that horrible day getting our happy Easter photos taken, little Jimmy played up something rotten!”, you want your Easter picture to trigger happy memories.
Getting your happy Easter photos taken should be a day to be enjoyed by all the family so perhaps you can promise your kids that you will take them to the movies if they can behave and smile for the camera.
Going Professional or Doing it Yourself
One popular choice over the Easter time for a lot of families is down their local mall. You can join the line to see the Easter bunny so that you can have your picture taken with him. But I must warn you, for what you get, these kind of deals aren’t that great for value for money. You might pay $20 - $30, have to line up for an hour, and only get one washed out Polaroid of you and your family – happy Easter photos should be better than this.
Another popular choice to capture your happy Easter photos moments this year is to find a professional photography studio on your local high street. These are great as the prints you will get are second to none, the lighting will be perfect and you can often opt for an Easter themed photograph with an Easter nativity background for you photos. The downside of going professional, of course, is that it won’t take long for you costs to start mounting up. If you only want one or two prints then no big deal, but if you have a large family so need plenty of copies, then getting a your happy Easter photo from a professional studio might not be very cost effective.
Most mall these days have semi-professional photography studios that can sometimes be very reasonable indeed for your happy Easter photos this year. These places are definitely a step up from the Poloroid with the Easter bunny, and not as high quality as the independent professional studios. But they are still pretty good and you can get some great shots of your family, and enough prints for all your family for a very reasonable price.
Semi-professional studios in your local department store will often have happy Easter 2009 packages so that you can get collections of different size prints for a set price. These semi-pro studios will also often have Easter nativity backdrops that will really mark your Easter 2009 this year.
Let’s not forget, your average household camera is 100 times better than what they used to be 5 years ago. So why not have a go taking your happy Easter photos yourself with you own camera. Chances are you have a digital camera so you can take a handful of pics and just choose your favourite ones.
The only thing you then have to worry about it printing them off. Unless you have a top quality color laser printer, your happy Easter photos will be left wanting. So you could always copy your photos onto a memory card, and take them down your local Kinkos or Kodak shop and ask for a dozen or so prints so you can send them to all your family – what a great Easter 2009 gift.

Easter has many connotations of big white fluffy eater bunnies and rabbits that kids just fall in love with every year. And why wouldn’t kids fall in love with these fantasy characters as not only are they a ton of fun and cute and cuddly, but they also bring candy, Easter treats, and Easter eggs along with them whenever they appear this time each year.
Rightly or wrongly, Easter seems to be less about religion and more about commercialism from generation to generation. Only 10 or so years ago Easter was all about Passover and religious rituals where many went to church. But now it seems to be more about children, Easter bunnies and the like. Some families even have traditions of dressing up for Easter just like Halloween, only arguably less scary; which is why the bugs bunny Easter bunny costume has become so popular over Easter that you must reserve your Easter bunny costume weeks in advance.
There is currently no concrete evidence as to where the Easter bunny originates from, although many religions and groups have their own theories. Whether you choose to believe any of these or not is far from the point of Easter. Most agree that Easter is a time for good fun and laughs; which is why many choose to dress up as Easter bunnies. It is no surprise, therefore, that when opting to dress up as an Easter bunny for your kids, that many parents choose a bugs bunny Easter bunny costume.
Why a Bugs Bunny Easter Bunny Costume?
When choosing your Easter bunny costume this year, why not choose to dress up as a bugs bunny Easter bunny. This will have a great effect on your children as their most favourite cartoon bunny is no doubt going to be bugs bunny as they have grown up watching the cartoons. So when you turn up dresses as a bugs bunny Easter bunny their little faces are sure to light up.
Not so long ago, Easter bunnies were only really seen on TV and maybe in your local mall. But now when you step out into the street and in any store you will see Easter bunnies all over everything from cards, chocolate, soft toys, candy, Easter baskets, to everything else that they could get away with commercializing. This has made the Easter bunny almost as recognizable as Santa himself.
If dressing up isn’t your thing, then no worries; you can always just buy your little ones a bugs bunny Easter bunny soft toy that will also lighten up your kid’s Easter this year.
Many would argue that it is quite sickening how the true meaning of Easter has been lost over the generations. But this is not really a fair judgement to make, as Easter celebrations seem to differ from family to family so its true meaning to you can never be lost.

If we’re honest, holidays are really a time for the kids to enjoy themselves and spend some quality time with family they wouldn’t normally see. So this Easter, to help your kids (and you) get into the holiday spirit why not ask them to design a printable easter card this year that you can print out and give to family and close friends, and even work colleagues.
Do Your Kids Know How to Create Printable Easter Cards
The success of your printable easter card depends on whether your kids are at the right age. The younger ones will just want to use paper and crayons to create personalized easter cards for your family, so they need to be a little bit older to appreciate using a computer otherwise they may become frustrated and bored.
Chances are, your slightly older kids will already have some computer knowledge as that is the time that we live in. But they may not be experienced in using computer graphics and graphic manipulation so some guidance and teaching from you will most likely be required.
You wont struggle to find some really good printable card software that is both easy to use and easy for you to teach your child. For a small fee you can grab some really decent printable easter card software that will have a database of images that you have the rights to use and some really cool templates that your child can use as a basis.
Of course, you must learn the software first so you can show off to your kids how great your are at putting together a printable easter card yourself. You must explore the software and every feature that it offers as, chances are, your kids will want to use a feature that you haven’t bothered to learn and they may become frustrated if you can’t help them and they may lose interest. If you are too busy preparing for Easter dinner to spend the time to learn new software, or if computers aren’t really your thing, then you can always use an online easter card company. These companies have no software to download or learn, but they still have an interface that you must become accustomed to. They will have a plethora of printable easter card templates for you to use. The problem with using one of these free companies is that they will most likely plaster their advertising all over it. Which is fine if it’s discrete, but if it’s not, you may want to pay a few bucks for a licensed version.
How Much Should I Pay For My Printable Easter Cards Online?
Depending on what route you go to create your printable easter cards will depend on how much you pay. But even then, you aren’t going to pay much for the printable card software, maybe $20 - $30, but the real expense will come elsewhere. I’m assuming you already have a color printer at home as most people do these days. If you do, you know how much they can cost to run – and this is where your real costs are going to come from. If you only plan to print 5 or 10 cards then no big deal. But if you want to print 50 – 100 then you are going to run into some costs with the ink cartridges for your printer, as well as the specialized paper you will need to make the cards more rigid. When you ink cartridges run out, don’t be tempted to go fill them up on the high street at one of the refill places as the ink at these places can damage your printer and look a bit washed out and watered down. So don’t cut corners and stick to the recommended cartridges that your printer manufacturer suggests.
What I usually do is design all my printable easter cards at home, copy them to a memory stick or CD-ROM, and run them down to Kinkos to get printed up. This is much more cost effective than using a standard color printer that you will probably have in your home office.

You don’t want to shell out loadsa cash this Easter on all the typical Easter items only for them to be thrown into the garbage the day after Easter. This is such a waste of money; not to mention the effects this will have on the environment. So lets take a look at other uses of that large plastic easter egg that you most likely bought your child this year, or at least included in their Easter basket and filled it with candy.
Uses Around the House
Believe it or not, your large plastic Easter egg can be used as a great household container to put stuff in. What kind of stuff? Well you can use it to contain small measures of thinner or small amounts of paint that is easier to carry than a full paint or thinner tin. Another great idea is to gather up all your map pins and thumbtacks which you can store in your large plastic easter egg as long as it doesn’t have any holes in it.
I used an old plastic easter egg the other day to hold my screws when I was putting together a new desk for my son. It worked great as it kept the screws contained so that they weren’t knocked off the table by my smaller child. Similarly, other small items in the home office can be organized in your large plastic easter egg like paper clips, staples, and / or erasers etc.
You can also put your batteries in your large plastic easter egg and store them in the fridge. This will make your batteries last so much longer than just storing them in a drawer. And how about this for an idea, you poke a few holes in one with a large skewer, fill it with some potpourri and place them in strategic smelly areas around the house like the clothes hamper, or a dog basket.
Eggcellent Personal Uses
I’m sure your brain is now buzzing with ideas as to how you can recycle your large plastic easter eggs, but let me give you a few more examples of how I reuse mine for some personal uses, not just household items. My wife uses one to store her pantyhose in so that she can keep them from laddering on sharp edges in her drawers. In fact, back in the day, it was common to see pantyhose for sale in containers shaped just like large plastic easter eggs for this same reason.
I also spotted my wife the other day keeping her eyeliner brushes in one of these large plastic easter eggs as she says it stops the bristles getting fluff and hairs on them when it’s in her bag. There is also a plastic easter egg on my dresser where I keep all my change.
Other Uses for These Large Plastic Easter Eggs that have taken over Your House
I’ve seen these large plastic easter eggs used in other random situations that don’t fit into the classifications above. A friend of mine made a great easter related game for her kids that also improved their memories too. What you do is fill a load of eggs with different treats and have your kids match up the treats in pairs. And when they remember a match, they get the treats. This is an excellent way to have some fun after easter too whilst still improving their memories.
You can of course use you discarded large plastic easter eggs as moulds on the beach to make cool looking sandcastles. Similarly, you can fill half of a plastic easter egg with gelatine and make a large jelly mould that your kids can have as a treat.
Outside of Easter, you can use your large plastic easter eggs as gifts for other holidays. For example, you can fill the egg with Christmas treats and wrap it in Christmas themed wrapping paper. This would make a great stocking filler for your kids to unwrap on Christmas day.
And how about a patio light set made from your old large plastic easter eggs? You can cut little grooves into the eggs so that you can feed some fairy lights through it so that they glow in the color of the easter egg shell. A great looking affect when done right.
So no matter whether it’s Easter or not, you can find plenty of uses for those large plastic easter eggs once easter has passed. Imagine how long it would take for one of those eggs to biodegrade at a dump yard – so why not keep them and make great use of your large plastic easter eggs around the home.

Man o man the holidays can be a chaotic time in the events of anyone’s life. But it is really silly to get hyper stressed out during times like Easter as all that’s needed is a little bit of planning for it to all go swimmingly.
It is paramount to not sweat the small stuff when it comes to planning for easter festivities. Whether your trying to make your house look all festive, or trying to plan for that perfect family meal, you must pause for a second, take a deep breath and re evaluate your progress. Your aim is to achieve a happy easter day 2009, not a perfect one – as this is impossible.
Something’s going to go wrong. The quicker you face up to this fact, the quicker you can move on to enjoy your easter day 2009. By appreciating that something will go wrong on the day, you can be prepared for it so you can just laugh it off when something unsuspecting does crop up. I know this is easier said than done, but if you can achieve this then you will be well on your way to a great easter day 2009, and one that is remembered for years to come. Family and friends will be able to tell if you are hyper stressed over your easter preparations which may make them uncomfortable – so deal with your easter stress for them if not for you.
Steps You Can Take To Ease Your Tension
To create a happy easter day 2009, you will want to tackle your planning head on and make a good start as soon as possible (like right now). Make two separate lists; one detailing all the things you need to have done and by when, the other, listing all the things you need to buy and where you need to buy it from. Don’t miss out the obvious stuff, as this is often what gets forgotten. If you want to put on a great happy easter day 2009 for your family and friends then you will grasp this idea and run with it.
Don’t organize your Easter all on your own. If friends and family members offer to help, then take them up on their offer. And if they don’t offer to help then round them all up and give them their separate chores to do to help relieve some of your stress levels. Many hands make light work, so crack that whip and make your happy easter day 2009 a conjoined family effort that you can all be proud of. By roping in others to help you can tap into their creativity too and make it a really successful day. The goal here is to put on a stress free happy easter day 2009 with all the trimmings – follow the tips above and you’ll be halfway there.

For as long as man has been walking this earth, eggs have not only been regarded as food, but as good omens surrounded in mystery and magic. It is highly revered in the Christian faith as the most important symbol in Easter. Whilst the history of easter eggs in more recent generations sees it as more of an art form during easter to paint, dye, and color these eggs, the symbolism is still there.
Further back in the history of easter eggs, they were connected with pagan rituals whilst the rite of Spring festivals was taking place. For the Romans, Gauls, Chinese, Egyptians, Persians and others it was a highly revered symbol of the universe. A far cry from what we do with eggs today like eat them, decorate them, and swap them with our friends.
Polish Traditions Dictating the History of Easter Eggs
I came across two old Polish myths which both incorporate Christian beliefs with Polish folklore which may help explain the history of easter eggs:
The first Polish legend stars Mary Magdalen, a famous biblical character. Upon the long and arduous journey to sepulchre to anoint the body of Jesus, Mary Magdalen took with her a basket of eggs to snack on as she walked. But when the journey was over and she arrived at sepulcher, she removed the cloth cover her eggs and the shells had been replaced by bright magnificent colors not dissimilar to a rainbow.

History of Easter Eggs
The second story involves the Virgin Mary walking up to the soldiers at the cross. As she walked up to them, she gave them all eggs and asked them to be less cruel to people, after which she cried relentlessly. The Virgin Mary’s tears streamed down her face and run onto the eggs which she had just given to the soldiers. The soldiers looked down at the eggs and where the Virgin Mary’s tears had splatted on the eggs now revealed brilliant splashes of colours spotted all over the eggs.
The English History of Easter Eggs
Dating back to the distant middle ages, decorating and coloring of Easter eggs were already a custom as history records confirm. Receipts from the house of Edward I, back in 1920, have listed an expense for more than 400 eggs to be colored, decorated and gold-leafed for Easter gifts for all his constituents.
Faberge and Russia
The most famous history of Easter eggs story dates back to Peter Carl Faberge, a well known goldsmith. At around 1883 Peter Faberge was paid a large sum of money from the Russian Czar to create a special Easter gift for the Empress Marie for her bed side table and dresser.
Peter Faberge was a great egg creator and used only exceptional materials for all the eggs he was commissioned to create. The first one ever recorded was made from white enamel and had a platinum shell. But the wonderment didn’t stop there, when the outer platinum shell was removed, there was another smaller egg inside made out of gold. This smaller golden egg could also be opened and revealed a replica of the Imperial crown.
As you can imagine, this first Faberge egg went down exceptionally well with Empress Marie and served the history of easter eggs very well also. So well in fact that Peter Faberge was commissioned by the Czar to construct more eggs just like this that was to be delivered every Easter from that date forward. Years went by, and the tradition was carried on by the Czar’s son, Nicholas II so that a total of 57 highly sought after, specialized eggs were created. This collection would be worth millions by today’s standards.
So it appears that the history of easter eggs is an amalgamation of stories, myths and traditions from an array of many different cultures. We have these cultures to thank for our more up to date traditions.
Eggs have always been highly sought after and this is where our modern easter egg hunt comes from. This is also why the eggs that are hidden are usually beautiful by design and coloured in and dyed.

The computer age is well and truly here. Email has pretty much replaced the written word and made letters almost redundant in today’s society. This is why more and more people are using technology to express their feelings. This is also seen by the increased popularity of text messages rather than actually picking up the phone and talking.
Whether you think this movement is a good thing or not, it is happening at an exceptional rate and is a social movement that really can’t be stopped. With such movements in technology transforming how we communicate, it is understandable to recognize that this transformation is also spilling over into how we express ourselves during the holiday period.
Just like email replacing letters, a lot of people are now choosing to send a happy easter ecard this easter rather than the traditional easter card made from cardboard.

In case you haven’t seen one of these before, a happy easter ecard is just like a traditional card but is sent over email. You can obviously choose a design that suites the occasion – some are plain and just contain one picture and some words, whilst others are animated and over the top by design. These can be great as it adds a new dynamic to the boring traditional cards that don’t really do much.
Where Ecards Fall Short
There’s no denying it that sending an ecard this easter is more convenient than actually writing one, but it lacks that personal touch. So if a friend or loved one is expecting a nice big tactile easter card from you this year and you just send them a happy easter ecard– you will solicit a negative response.
With a happy Easter ecard you won’t achieve the same personal touch that a real card would attain. Anyone that has received an email know that they get lost, and left in your inbox and forgotten.
If you send your partner a happy easter ecard this easter then you may give the impression that they don’t matter enough to send them a real card in the mail, or hand delivered. Therefore, you need to evaluate your relationship with the recipient of your happy easter ecard before you send it.
Electronic cards are great for distant friends or relatives that you hardly ever see, and don’t have a strong relationship with as it shows you are thinking of them, whereas normally you wouldn’t send them anything at all – it is better than nothing.
So we have learnt that there is a time and a place for a happy easter ecard this year and it all depends on your relationship with the intended recipient of the electronic easter card you plan to send. You will know whether your partner or mom and dad really don’t care whether you send them a real card or not.
In my situation, my wife would kill me if I sent her a happy birthday ecard, or happy Christmas ecard…but we don’t usually send each other easter cards so a happy easter ecard would be totally appropriate in my situation.
You will have to make the same judgements with your loved ones, if easter is a big deal in your family, then it may be worth biting the bullet and buying a proper eater card from Hallmarks or wherever.

There are only a few occasions where it is excusable to shell out and buy or make your loved ones a gift, Easter is no different. When thinking about Easter gift basket ideas the first thing that comes to mind is the usual chocolate eggs and candy, but there are other alternatives too. In fact, if you’re stuck for Easter gift basket ideas, just imagine what the recipient would like to receive and put that in, it doesn’t have to be all that Eastery either.
Typical Snacks to Include In Your Easter Gift Basket
You are pretty much only limited by your own creativity when it comes to easter gift basket ideas and what you put in them. You always want to include some of the traditional chocolate bunnies, chocolate eggs, and other candies and sweets shaped in popular Easter characters. You will always want to hard boil some eggs so that you can decorate them. The different ways to decorate hard boiled easter eggs are endless and usually involve some kind of food dyes, crayons, and permanent markers. There are obviously tons of varieties that you can buy from stores, but the personal touch is always best so I would advise devising your own personalized easter basket and filling it with items you know your friend or family member would enjoy. An idea that I used last year was to decorate a hard boiled egg to look like each member of my family – we had a good laugh over that one.
But let me give you a few more easter gift basket ideas, items such as expensive teas and coffees, or easter decorated muffins or little cakes are always popular; and even cookies too. Don’t limit yourself to easter gift basket ideas that are only about Easter. An Easter gift basket is just an excuse to show someone you care and that you are thinking of them, so you can really include anything that you think the recipient needs or will like. For example, I gave a friend of mine an easter gift basket full of groceries last year as she was really struggling financially and the groceries helped feed her family for the week.
I Need Some Easter Gift Basket Ideas for my Friend Who Is On A Diet
Most of us are fighting the battle of the bulge at this time of year what with Christmas not that long ago. So what can we put in our easter gift baskets for someone that wont appreciate all the chocolates and candies? Well flowers are a great idea, you can plant some flowers directly into the basket (if it is appropriately sealed underneath), or you can put pot plants into the basket and arrange them accordingly. What I like to do for my mom when thinking about easter gift basket ideas for her is fill it up with toiletries and perfume with some cool looking easter decorations, and this is what I’ll do for Eeaster 2009 as she really appreciated it last year. But when I am thinking about easter gift basket ideas for a more distant friend or relative I will usually just put some flowers in the easter basket as I wouldn’t necessarily know what kind of perfumes they liked.
If you know the recipient of your easter gift basket is religious then you could put some easter religious music CDs or Easter DVDs into their easter basket for 2009. I guess you have to evaluate your easter gift basket ideas case by case for each person you plan on giving one too. If you have a lot of baskets to give out, you may not have time to individually prepare a ton of personal items, so eater chocolates and easter basket eggs are great for when you want to put together a lot of easter gift baskets in a short period of time and always go down well with the recipient of the easter basket.
Give it some thought and I’m sure you can think of a load more easter gift basket ideas, and it will really be worth your effort to do so. Easter gift baskets are always well received as they are often not expected. Your recipient will be sure to remember you every year if you make them an easter gift basket to die for.

With any and all holidays comes a certain degree of stress as you have to plan an prepare festivities for all your family. Easter is no different as in order to have a great easter april 2009 it will undoubtedly involve family and friends getting together to celebrate their beliefs. If religion isn’t your thing, it will still be a time where you enjoy friendships and family and have a good laugh together around the table. If the easter april 2009 organizing has fallen on your shoulders this year – then relax, everything doesn’t have to go to plan in order for it to be a success.
All the planning in the world will not prevent something going wrong, or someone not turning up – that’s just life. I have come to understand that it is not how well everything is planned that makes or breaks a happy easter april 2009, but the way in which we respond to something if it does actually go wrong. It may be easier said than done, but don’t let those little things that don’t go perfect ruin an otherwise great easter april 2009. To manage your stress levels this year, you must come to terms with the fact that something small will probably go wrong. By going through this mental exercise you wont be shocked when something does go wrong and you can concentrate on having a great easter april 2009 with those you love.
Can You Ever Be 100% Prepared for Easter This Year

By planning exactly what you need and for how many people you will not only reduce the risk of forgetting something, but you will feel more relaxed knowing you have done all you can to get all you need for a successful easter april 2009. I know from my experience, when I have failed to plan what I need properly, I don’t enjoy the easter april 2009 festivities half as much as when I make a list and know exactly what to get ahead of time.
Listen you must start making your list of stuff you need now so that you can immediately start to fell good and look forward to easter april 2009. No doubt, all the planning in the world wont enable you to be 100% organized this early on – some stuff you need to get a few days before Easter so that it is still fresh. By getting the easter decorations now you can be sure that you will have a good choice in all the stores before they are all taken.
